Our Minimalist Chateau project is a full scale custom interior design project located in Denver, Colorado, completed by our Charleston, South Carolina-based interior design firm. This early-2000’s home in a historic Denver neighborhood was reimagined to blend its architectural character (fit for a historic neighborhood) with a light, minimalist aesthetic tailored to the client’s love of clean, more minimal-style interiors. The project demonstrates how bespoke interior design can combine elegance, functionality, and timeless style for both entertaining and day-to-day family life.

The main level features a fully reworked layout, custom cabinetry, and white oak flooring that enhances warmth and flow throughout the home. The kitchen was designed with commercial grade appliances, including a La Cornue French range, and a sculptural custom hand hood, while polished nickel finishes and custom lighting fixtures add subtle sophistication. Plaster walls, custom millwork, and bespoke architectural details balance historic character with contemporary restraint, creating a home that is both inviting and striking.

Entertaining was a central design consideration: the open living areas allow for effortless hosting, while custom furnishings, layered textures, and thoughtful spatial planning ensure comfort and functionality for everyday family life. Every element—from custom cabinetry and lighting to artisanal finishes—was carefully curated to reflect a polished, minimalist aesthetic while maintaining warmth and livability.
